Application - Application of Calibration Kit

In RF test and measurement applications, the Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) calibration kit is a critical tool that ensures Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs) and other RF instruments provide accurate measurements at the device's test plane. Calibration kits are used to establish a reference plane starting from the interconnection point of the Device Under Test (DUT). This allows RF test equipment (primarily VNAs) to automatically perform complex de-embedding operations without the need for additional data processing. Today, we will focus on discussing the application of calibration kits in test and measurement.

For VNA calibration kits, common coaxial interconnections are equipped with a set of precision adapters. Typically, a VNA calibration kit is selected to match the VNA's test ports, or to match commonly used coaxial connectors based on the Device Under Test (DUT) or the equipment available in the test laboratory.
